Gettin' It Together -- Lifestyle CEO Style!
Welcome to March! The lovely picture you see on our cover reflects not
only the future promise of spring, but also the photographic genius of my
dear husband who last month officially joined me as the Vice President of
the Lifestyle CEO Media Corporation. His work will appear on all of our
magazine covers and throughout all of our media outlets, and he serves as
the director of our cable access show. Please join me in welcoming him, and
if you need a good photographer, let me know!
On the Lifestyle CEO Internet Radio Show last month, I spoke at length
with Chicken Soup For The Soul co-founder Jack Canfield. Jack has authored
several books to help people maximize their potential in life. His message
is so popular that he commands $25,000 for a single speaking engagement.
What fun it was to have him all to myself for a whole hour. If you missed
the show, you can enjoy it here. My conversation with Jack reminded me of
how important it is to organize and prioritize in order to make the most of
all situations. Doing so is especially critical if you are managing a
business from the same place where you run your home. How many times a week
are you torn between stirring the collard greens and answering the office
phone? In order to know the best thing to do at the time, you have to know
not only your business but also your home, and the needs of everyone in it.
Our radars must be able to catch the signal of a family member in
need at any time during the day. As business owners, we must remain
sensitive to our customers too.
This issue of the Lifestyle CEO Online Magazine is all about
"getting' it together" in our homes and our businesses. First and foremost, we address the critical issue of
home
organization and what role it plays in our assessment of our roles as
mothers. My Business
article inspires you to learn about the various formal business
structures available to you and select the one that works best for you and
your family.
This month's Lifestyle CEO To Know,
Bridgette Cooper Anderson, is one of the most inspirational talents I have
ever known. As a professionally trained mezzo soprano, her melodic
voice has been heard around the world and she has also sang with Placido
Domingo at
the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. This Lifestyle CEO will amaze you! Charlon
Bobo reminds us that organized
creativity breeds business opportunity, while Carrie Myers Smith serves
up simple
steps to a more organized life. We've got a great recipe for Black
Bean Quesadillas, and since spring is right around the corner, our Self
article will inspire you to "spring clean your life"! Finally,
in recognition of National Women's History Month, I suggest taking just
a moment to ponder our roles as women and take steps to support ourselves and
other women who are raising future generations.
