Happy New Year! Embrace 2006 -- Lifestyle CEO Style! Mark Twain said, "You don't know how far a
frog is going to jump until you poke 'em." I like that saying for what
it means to us as business owners and home managers. We can never really
acknowledge and embrace
our full potential until we step up to the plate and challenge ourselves. I
think there's no better time to embrace all we can be than at the start of a
brand New Year. Today as I put the finishing touches on plans for the
first Lifestyle CEO Conference, I am excited at the opportunity to prod
myself and see just how far I can jump in 2006. Will you allow yourself to be prodded this
year? How far will you jump? Where will you jump to? How will you jump
there? Whatever you do, I feel honored that you have allowed me and other
Lifestyle CEOs to accompany you on your journey. This issue of the
Lifestyle CEO Online Magazine is all about maximizing our potential in 2006.
First and foremost, we address the critical issue of prioritizing
family time in an age where technology threatens to rip it from
our grasps. This
month's Lifestyle CEO To Know, Denise McMillan,
provides inspiration and so much more as she shares things she has learned
on her journey from legal assistant to luxury products manufacturer. Of course "doing it all" should not be
in anyone's vocabulary so be sure to check out the tips on embracing
yourself so y-o-u are not lost in the shuffle. No matter how
hard you are prodded, you won't jump very far without a positive perspective
on health and wellness. (This is where I plan to
make some of my greatest strides in 2006!) We've got some meal
planning guidelines to get you started, plus a great recipe for Baked
Apples Superb. And for those days when you want to try something new and treat yourself at the same time, making
some natural lip balm to keep your lips moist
during the dry season is a quick, fun and easy project. When it gets right down to it, combining business
and family is so much easier when you have a network of tools and
people to help you be successful. Of course I can't wait to tell you what
you can expect as a participant at the upcoming Lifestyle CEO
Conference! So let's get started
together embracing 2006 with all the gusto and verve we can muster and, as usual,
carve out just a moment to yourself. Now get
out there and break all the rules, build your own corporate ladder and
create the life you love!
